Jordan Launches National Blockchain Network MODEE DLT to Enhance E-Government Services

The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship in Jordan has launched a national blockchain technology network, MODEE DLT, in partnership with Jordanian blockchain company Blockexe. This initiative aims to enhance trust and transparency in government services.

MODEE DLT, a cornerstone of Jordan’s digital transformation, has been integrated with the “Sanad” system to provide a decentralized and verifiable digital record of all Sanad transactions. This integration aims to bolster digital trust and streamline the integration of e-government services, making them more transparent, efficient, and competitive both locally and internationally.

The implementation of blockchain technology in Jordan’s government sector marks a significant milestone aligned with the Jordanian Digital Transformation Strategy (2021-2025). This strategy underscores the government’s commitment to advancing its digital infrastructure and technological capabilities.

Blockchain technology, known for its accuracy, security, and confidentiality, ensures that transaction data and user information remain private and protected. Its decentralized nature prevents control or manipulation by any single entity, thereby enhancing security and transparency.

The Ministry emphasized that the use of MODEE DLT across various government sectors will foster a reliable digital environment, supporting the Kingdom’s broader goals of achieving a robust and trustworthy digital economy.

By leveraging blockchain technology, Jordan aims to create a more transparent and efficient government service framework, reflecting its dedication to innovation and digital advancement.
